Sydney Water joins industry leaders to discuss future of water
Sydney Water has partnered with OzWater 12 to deliver Australia’s national water conference and exhibition from 8-10 May at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour. National and international water industry experts will get together to share knowledge, planning and the future of water.
Sydney Water’s Managing Director, Kevin Young who will be presenting at the conference, said: “The Ozwater 12 conference is a great way for water industry experts to discuss water issues and the future of our water supply.”
“Currently there is an increased focus on sustainability and use of new technology to manage the water cycle. The increasing variability of our climate requires a more secure water supply to meet customer demand during heat waves and droughts. It is important to share and discuss these challenges, best practice and alternate management systems within the water industry.”
“We have to keep thinking forward with the ultimate aim of providing better value for customers.”
Sixteen Sydney Water experts will be talking about topical issues such as urban growth, reducing our carbon footprint, smart homes, asset renewal and leakage management.
Ozwater is the Australian Water Association’s key national water conference and trade exhibition. It brings together all sectors of the water industry, promoting information exchange. This year’s theme is ‘Sharing knowledge, planning the future’. The 2012 program includes a wide range of presentations and workshops on:
