History made today with cheaper bills at Sydney Water

History is being made in Sydney, with water bills coming DOWN by around $100 a year from today.

The bill reduction, announced in mid-June, follows the release of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s Final Determination.

Managing Director Kevin Young said it was a big win for Sydney Water’s 4.6 million customers across Sydney, the Illawarra and the Blue Mountains.

“The way we are managing our business has allowed us to find savings that can be passed onto customers,” Mr Young said.

“It’s great that our customers will reap the rewards.”

Mr Young said Sydney Water was constantly seeking to improve and this could continue over the next four years.

“We’ve become more efficient, without compromising the quality we offer our customers,” he said.

“Funds will still be available for the services that Sydney needs.

“We will continue to innovate and improve, giving our customers confidence that they’ll still receive the excellent level of service that Sydney Water is known for.”
